Freddi & Gertie was an idea brought to life for my final thesis at LISAA - Paris Design Graphique. I wrote and designed the book with representation in mind; to spread awareness of gender diversity and neurodivergence and expand the offerings of said topics in children’s literature. The project entailed: market and design research; story development and storyboarding; illustration; longform layout; materials sourcing; print preparation in collaboration with a local printshop; handover to the printer including all pre-press production; designing a website landing page for promotion; animating a teaser trailer; and finally, hand-binding my submission copy.
